Boxwood Finch Website and Online Boutique

Boxwood Finch is a local boutique retailer in Lodi, California that specializes in home decor and high-end lifestyle goods. The owners were interested in a simple, stylish website that maintained their current branding and showcased their products in a similar style to their in-store displays; minimal aesthetic and accessible.

Boxwood Finch's existing branding included a logo, brand font (Poiret One), brand colors (lime green, dark navy, dark gray, and pure white), and a custom illustration of a boxwood branch. The owners wanted to maintain their existing branding, and preferred minimal color with a mainly white backdrop.
We opted to use a complementary font for all web copy in dark gray, leaving Poiret One for use only in the main logo and the secondary logo we created for the website's blog image. The branch illustration was the only source of color, aside from photography, used sparingly.
The site launched in May 2020, and has been a crucial part of the boutique's sales strategy during the global health crisis that necessitated the shop's closure for in-store shopping.

We created a custom graphic using the branch icon to be used on the home page as part of a parallax scroll effect. The owners loved it so much it was also put to use on the About page as well.

Shop sections went through several iterations as online product offerings were added. What started as a single page of products has expanded to include two separate menus categorized as either "FOR YOUR HOME" and "FOR YOUR LIFE."
Products are further organized by brand, and customers can filter using the menu bar at the top of the shop page.
There is also a "shoppable images" section on the home page that showcases featured items. Customers can click on the image to be taken to either a product page, menu section, or brand search, depending on what the owners are promoting.
